The Sacramento Association of Realtors ranked 14th for the Sacramento Business Journal's top 25 companies for corporate philanthropy. This is especially impressive considering it is among mostly for profit businesses and is an industry that is experiencing a dramatic downturn. Here are just a few of the contributions made:
- Over $100,000 in cash contributions
- Over $65,000 to the Salvation Army (in it's 26 years, over 2 million dollars have been raised)
- Almost $23,000 to teh Housing Affordability Fund of the California Association of Realtors
In addition to the monetary contributions, we also:
- Participate in the clean-up of the American River Parkway
- Rehab houses in conjunction with Rebuilding Together
- Feed the hungry at Loaves and Fishes
Recently, over $44,000 was raised for scholarships...more than the California Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors combined!
The association budgets up to 3% of it's gross revenues for charitable and civic causes. I couldn't be prouder to be affiliated with such a giving group of people!
